a: The pitch and number of rows of the chain: the larger the pitch, the greater the power that can be transmitted, but the unevenness of motion, dynamic load, and noise also increase accordingly. Therefore, under the condition of satisfying the bearing capacity, the chain with small pitch should be used as much as possible, and the multi-row chain with small pitch can be used in high-speed heavy load.
b: Number of sprocket teeth: the number of teeth should not be too small or too much, too little. It will aggravate the unevenness of motion, and the excessive pitch growth caused by wear will cause the contact point between the roller and the sprocket to move to the top of the sprocket, which will lead to the transmission prone to tooth skipping and de-chaining, shortening the chain. Service life, and in order to wear evenly, the number of teeth is preferably an odd number that is prime with the number of links.
c: Center distance and number of chain links: When the center distance is too small, the number of teeth meshing between the chain and the small wheel is small. If the center distance is too large, the sag of the loose edge will be too large, which will easily cause the chain to vibrate during transmission. Generally, the number of chain links should be an even number.
