10A is the chain model, 1 means single row, and the roller chain is divided into two series: A and B. The A series is the size specification that conforms to the American chain standard: the B series is the size specification that meets the European (mainly the UK) chain standard. Except for the same pitch, other aspects of this series have their own characteristics.
Commonly used sprocket end face tooth shapes. It is composed of three arc sections aa, ab, cd and a straight line bc, referred to as three arc-straight line tooth shape. The tooth shape is processed with standard cutting tools. It is not necessary to draw the end face tooth shape on the sprocket work drawing. It is only necessary to indicate “the tooth shape is manufactured according to the regulations of 3RGB1244-85″ on the drawing, but the axial surface tooth shape of the sprocket should be drawn.
The sprocket should be installed on the shaft without swing or skew. In the same transmission assembly, the end faces of the two sprockets should be in the same plane. When the center distance of the sprockets is less than 0.5 meters, the deviation can be 1 mm; when the center distance of the sprockets is more than 0.5 meters, the deviation can be 2 mm. However, there should be no friction on the sides of the sprocket teeth. If the two wheels are offset too much, it will easily cause the chain to break off and accelerate wear. Pay attention to checking and adjusting the offset when replacing the sprocket.
