1. Measure the pitch of the chain and the distance between the two pins.

4. The outer diameter of the roller, some conveyor chains use large rollers.

5. Generally speaking, the model of the chain can be analyzed based on the above four data. There are two types of chains: A series and B series, with the same pitch and different outer diameters of rollers.

Among similar products, the chain product series is divided according to the basic structure of the chain, that is, according to the shape of the components, the parts and parts meshing with the chain, the size ratio between parts, etc. There are many types of chains, but their basic structures are only the following ones, and the others are all deformations of these types.

2. We can see from the above chain structures that most chains are composed of chain plates, chain pins, bushings and other components. Other types of chains only have different changes to the chain plate according to different needs. Some are equipped with scrapers on the chain plate, some are equipped with guide bearings on the chain plate, and some are equipped with rollers on the chain plate, etc. These are modifications for use in different applications.

Testing method

Chain length accuracy should be measured according to the following requirements:

1. The chain must be cleaned before measurement.

2. Wrap the chain under test around the two sprockets, and the upper and lower sides of the chain under test should be supported.

3. The chain before measurement should stay for 1 minute with one-third of the minimum ultimate tensile load applied.

4. When measuring, apply the specified measurement load on the chain to tighten the upper and lower chains, and ensure normal meshing between the chain and the sprocket.

5. Measure the center distance between the two sprockets.

Measuring chain elongation:

1. In order to remove the play of the entire chain, it is necessary to measure with a certain degree of pulling tension on the chain.

2. When measuring, in order to minimize the error, measure at 6-10 knots.

3. Measure the inner L1 and outer L2 dimensions between the rollers of the number of sections to find the judgment size L=(L1+L2)/2.

4. Find the elongation length of the chain. This value is compared with the usage limit value of the chain elongation in the previous item.

Chain structure: It consists of inner and outer links. It is composed of five small parts: inner link plate, outer link plate, pin, sleeve, and roller. The quality of the chain depends on the pin and sleeve.
